sìth I II III & IV

£170.00

Scots Gaelic for: ‘peace’.

I unearthed the peace series in 2022 after being inspired by some Portuguese pottery my parents have…a rustic, raw exterior and characterful, colourful interior. As someone who wears my heart on my sleeve, I often feel exposed but in a beautiful, authentic way where emotions are cherished, not shut up in a cupboard to fester and ferment.

Each was thrown on a wheel, using local Kenyan clay. I glazed the interior with glazes produced in small batches in a wonderful little studio called Tope on the outskirts of Nairobi, Kenya. My place of refuge from the bustle during a personal journey of learning to befriend and appreciate stillness.

Approximate measurements: 0.91lb // H:6cm // W: ranges 15-17cm

Like all the mysterious fauna and flora we co-inhabit with, my ceramics are unique - what you own will not be replicated. Please do take care!
