Scots Gaelic for: ‘raw’.
This large dish was unearthed in 2022 using small batch glazes and local Kenyan clay. I threw her using a simple modern wheel in Nairobi, Kenya in a wonderful little studio called Tope on the outskirts of the city. A place of refuge from the bustle during a personal journey of learning to befriend and appreciate stillness.
This was of the first pieces that I choose to leave large chunks unglazed...for we are all a little raw, a little naked, a little free.
Approximate measurements: 1.48lb // H:5cm // W:21cm
Like all the mysterious fauna and flora we co-inhabit with, my ceramics are unique - what you own will not be replicated. Please do take care!
